BUY A SHIRT!

Letter To The FCC, to be sent on monday

Dear Sir Or Madam.

I am shocked by the recent attack on the media by the FCC. Rather than a coming from legal stance, the FCC appears to be initiating a kind of witch hunt based on some kind of moral code, which is not only outdated, but largely invalid in the current century. While I am not a big fan of Howard Stern, I am a fan of free speech and the right of everyone to decide for themselves what they want to experience on the radio and television by simply changing the channel or turning it off all together.

To put it bluntly, the FCC itself is an outdated oganization, which may have at one time controlled the output of mass media, but now is falling behind with the advent of the internet. People will simply not be governed by a faceless and self-righteous band of obsolete, puritanical, middle aged white men. Your time is nearing an end, and though I understand your struggle to remain "current," I doubt very much your ability to do so.

The control of media: Thought, Information, entertainment, is no longer in the hands of a single group. The government can no longer control it, and has no way of recovering the control it once had. Better to find a nitch for yourself in the immerging society, rather than to cling to outdated tradition.

I am going to begin a drive to create a list of people who no longer wish you to "look out for them." This is not a petition, but rather a list of names that we would like appended to any resolution the FCC creates. We would like our names to appear under the heading "This Anachronistic Edict Is In No Way Supported By:" Expect the list in the coming months.
